ArcGIS Online - Open The Door!

Code for America has the power to enable its brigade members with the ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Hub toolset. The first step most people need to take is to get an account and learn how to login. That is what we will do during this event. Nick will lead a virtual tour of getting into ArcGIS Online.

ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Hub is big ... there is a lot that can be done. There are limitations, too. We will be setting up ongoing workshops to explore ArcGIS Online. This event is not about that... it is just about getting you an account and getting logged in.

Once you are in, you can do your own self-guided learning, or you can wait until the next workshop where we dive into how to work with the tools to build web maps and story maps, perform analysis, create web sites, surveys, and dashboards.

I will share the meeting password with attendees shortly before the event in the CfA Slack Brigade-ArcGIS-Hub channel, and on the CfBTV Slack general channel.

Note: this is the first in a series of ArcGIS related workshops. As this event is just about establishing access for the other workshops, I'll plan to repeat this event at different times in the future. Recordings of this event may be helpful, but establishing accounts will require some personal work so I cannot just record it once and have people watch it to get an account. So if you miss this one, there will be another.
