City of Phoenix Transportation Hackathon

City of Phoenix Transportation Hackathon

Details

The City of Phoenix just released exciting new real-time transit data and Grid Bike Share (http://gridbikes.com) just launched, so we're hosting a hackathon for people to explore it, take advantage of it, and brainstorm problem statements to spawn future ideas that will improve the transportation experience here in the Valley. Some of us will be coding, others will be brainstorming -- so come for either one!

With all that's possible in transportation, we want to make the theme broad (i.e. not necessarily just transit or bikes) and with enough juicy ideas, this will be a pre-cursor to a more formal event in 2015.

TBA: Two particular sessions within the broader event -- one for collaborative brainstorming and another for a technical discussion about the data that's available today.

(The Thunderdome Neighborhood Association for Non-Auto Mobility will also be providing food and beverages for everyone who's brainstorming, planning, and coding away.)

Here's the Facebook event (https://www.facebook.com/events/1572744492958763/)
