Our next session on the road to JavaScript enlightenment. We decided to read/ work through Chapters 3 and 4 of "Eloquent JavaScript" till then.

We are going to hear about a website project at Bristol Uni and hopefully have a little example project up on GitHub that allows us to put into practice the new things we've learned. In addition to that, or alternatively, there will be some code challenges, to work through on your own or as a pair porgramming exercise.

Also, Michael has kindly offered to do a Q&A session on getting set up with Git and GitHub for those who are new to it.

Rough schedule:

Topic for this day is 'Objects in JavaScript - the basics' (including Arrays and Functions)

10.00 - 10.30 Introduction;
JS project at Uni CompSci conversion course

10.30 - 11.00 Q&A on chapters + exercises in EloqJS

11.30 - 12.00 Introduction to Git/GitHub for those new to it; coding a JSON 'profile' file
