The talk is "Making Sense of Software Design Ideas" is a 60-minute foray into the jungle of ideas that constitutes software design. We will quickly cover some of the diverse claims that have been made, illustrating their obvious incompatibilities. We will then frame design processes and design artifacts with a simple overarching definition that starts make sense of the cacophony. And then we will move onto some effective and neat ideas that are free from snake-oil that you can try out in your own projects.
