Reactjs - Create A Personal Blog Site / Nextjs + Netlify-CMS

Details

In this course, we’ll build a blogging website using a modern technology stack and then deploy it to the World on a free hosting platform. The purpose is to use an approach to building websites that can be used for many types of web development projects.

Wordpress is still king-of-the-hill in terms of the number of websites that use it. It is a totally integrated solution. However, a new architectural approach to web development separates the frontend presentational components from the backend content management.

In our project, we’ll use the Nextjs framework to construct a site’s frontend and then employ Netlify-CMS as ‘headless’ content creation and management system.

This will not be a beginner's programming class since there are quite a few pieces that have to be stitched together. So, some javascript programming knowledge will be needed. While we won’t be getting very sophisticated, the intent is to finish with a functional personal site, a grasp of the fundamentals, and a solid foundation for further learning.
