coding earth global meetup #6: deploy to the cloud

Since the term "cloud computing" has been coined more than a decade ago, a lot has happened: from virtualized hardware, the arrival of DevOps culture and infrastructure as code, containerized workload deployments up to container orchestration with Kubernetes and the cloud native movement - distributed computing is the defacto standard for deploying, controlling, maintaining and scaling applications on any stage of the development process.

Our upcoming 6th session of coding.earth will focus precisely on that: we're going to talk about deploying to the cloud.

Following our last session's format, meetup number 6 will be opened by an inspirational talk by Bastian Hofmann on provisioning K8S using Rancher:

> Historically Kubernetes was not trivial to set up and maintain, especially if you do it the "hard way" by hand. Fortunately, that is not true anymore. In this short demo Bastian will show how you can set up a production-ready, multi-cluster Kubernetes environment in 15 Minutes with the Help of K3S and Rancher.

The talk will lead us into a ~30 minutes expert panel discussion with Bastian, Andreas Ulm (root360 / Leipzig) & Ricardo Fiel (Microsoft / Lisbon). Afterwards everybody is invited to openly join and contribute to the discussion and ask any question.
