Yuri will show what we used before the Openetelemetry, why we chose to switch to Openetelemetry, what were the challenges, and a brief overview of what it looks like today at AppsFlyer- Opentelemetry + Datadog as a storage for telemetry data.

NodeJS is one of the most popular languages in the world, but when it comes to CPU intensive tasks it can fall short. In this talk you’ll find out how we increased our processing throughput 28X while reducing the resources used 10x by switching to Go.You’ll also learn about the pipeline pattern and additional optimization techniques such as the GOGC and GOMAXPROCS flags and resource pools.

Yuri Kalinin
Yuri has been working at AppsFlyer as a Software Engineer for the past 7 years. He believes in internal mobility and due to that fact that he's worked as part of 4 different teams within the company, eventually he realized he is passionate about the Observability world and has since became a part of the Platform group and joined the Observability team, in order to do what he loves most. After work you can catch him doing Crossfit other various sporting activities.

Nick Kobishev
Nick is a Principal Engineer @ Similarweb by day and dog dad at all times. He love's working on services that deal with data at scale, enabling other engineers to achieve their goals and anything to do with optimizing systems to get the most bang for your buck.
