Chicago Codes Graduation & Demo Day

Details

Looking for smart, hungry web developers to join your team? You're invited to meet the graduates of Chicago Code's inaugural cohort during our first ever Demo Day/Graduation Ceremony!

The Chicago Codes program, co-sponsored by The Rockefeller Foundation, Facebook, and Microsoft, is an 11-week, completely free, Python-focused coding bootcamp for residents of under-served areas primarily on the South and West side of Chicago. Operated by Coding Dojo, graduates of the program will be ready for a variety of roles in the tech industry including junior web developer, software engineer, QA Tester, Application Analyst, etc.

Each Chicago Codes grad will give a brief presentation of his or her project, followed by an opportunity to get to know our students and experience their web applications hands-on. We will provide snacks and beverages. The event will be directly followed by our graduation Ceremony, something all are welcomed to stay for.

Is your organization planning to hire? This is a great opportunity for local companies to recruit local tech talent to support their growth, especially as tech moves beyond its own borders and becomes a bigger part of healthcare, manufacturing, finance, and beyond.

As a Chicago Codes employer partner, you not only have the chance to contribute to the life-changing mission of Chicago Codes, but also will help kick-start the careers of Chicago's next generation of Tech talent. As a Chicago Codes Employer Partner, here is what you can expect:

Entry-Level Developers produced by one of the topic bootcamp curricula in the country

Developers who can build from day-one, contributing to the team in a meaningful way

Hungry, passionate Developers looking for first opportunity in Programming

Developers from diverse backgrounds and professions, something needed in the workplace
