DIY Zine-Making Workshop: Come along and MAKE your own zine!

Details
🎪 Coding Grace is delighted to run our very first workshop at Dublin Maker this year, it's taking place a t new location at Leopardstown Racecourse, and will be one of the largest Dublin Makers since it first started in 2012.
✂️ DIY Zine-Making Workshop welcomes people of all ages to make their own personal magazine, also known as zines.
✨ Topics can include cool makery things you discovered at Dublin Maker, your favourite things as a maker, or tell us a story. The story could be IRL or imaginary (e.g. sci-fi, fantasy, magical). All you need is your imagination.
🖊️ We will provide materials on the day, so don't worry about bringing anything.
What will happen with the zines made on the day?
We will pull all the resulting zines and create a bumper physical zine to celebrate the amazing Dublin Maker this year. Zine makers can take home their amazing creations.
A digital version will also be published and will be shared to everyone to reminisce or for those who didn’t visit Dublin Maker, a bit of FOMO and get excited about going next year!.
💟 We are so excited that we even made a fanzine of Dublin Maker to thank them for hosting us, check it out at https://whykay.itch.io/dublin-maker-zine

Q. What is a Maker?
Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, artists, science clubs, students, authors and commercial exhibitors. They are of all ages and backgrounds, coming from all over Ireland and beyond.
Q. Why are you not running a tech workshop?
We decided to get away from computers for a day, and encourage people to create and share information with zines through the fun of arts and craft. Zines are a great way to start a conversation, an alternative way to share ideas or find new ones.
We will have a small zine library so you can have a look at the various types of zines made.
Q. Do I need to bring anything?
No, we will provide all the materials to make your zine, and you can take it home with you.
Just remember to let us take a photo of your zine first before you leave the workshop.
