Thanks to Ryanair (https://www.ryanair.com) Mallorca can be reached for 13€ in 30 Minutes flying 3 times a day from Barcelona. A good reason, to set up a short workation
This time we'll check out the Bedndesk (http://www.bedndesk.com/) coworking + coliving space - the perfect place specially designed for Digital Nomads.
We will come together for a long weekend - but if you want to arrive earlier or leave later, feel free - the Bedndesk can be booked individually for as many nights as you like. One night per person will be at 40-50€, depending on the room - including the coworking space and activities.
This workation will be very intimate - we'll be only six nomads in one house.
The access from the airport in Mallorca is really easy and fast - so we won't waste too much time travelling, and can seize the days to the max.
This is a non-profit meetup and not a full-package tour provided by an operator - i.e. you have to organize transport by yourself. If there is a demand we can also rent and share a car and split costs.
Reservations and invoices have to be made directly with the Bedndesk.
Once you arrive, common activities and organization provided by the meetup-organizer and the use of the coworking-space are for free.
You don't have to stay 5 days - you can extend your workation or travel back earlier!

About getting to Mallorca
By plane: Ryanair has the best offers at the moment. Plenty of flights for 13€ - I will take the one leaving at Apr 7 at 8 am from BCN and returning on Apr 11, at 9pm
From there you can take a public bus for 3€ to the bedndesk.
I will rent a car - for as cheap as 35€ with all insurances- so we can discover the island easily - and split the costs among us, if enough people are interested.
Another option to fly is with Vueling (http://www.vueling.com/en)
If you prefer a cruise over the Mediterranean Sea - Balearia (https://www.balearia.com/)and Transmediterrana (http://www.trasmediterranea.es/es) ferries connect Barcelona with Mallorca.
Mallorca is very diverse and has among the best beaches in the Mediterranean

The coliving-place is only 100 meters away from the white sanded beach with turquoise waters - at the far end of the Playa de Palma in the quiet, residential but central part of S'Arenal, approximately 10km east of the capital Palma de Mallorca and 5 km away from the airport. The touristic part of Arenal has the reputation among Germans of something like a "spring-break resort" in high season between July and August, but here and now you won't notice much of all this bustle and hustle.

About the organization of the meetup
This is a workation, which means we will combine working on our own tasks, talking about our projects and location-independent work in general as well as organizing some leisure activities together - so ideally we dedicate some 50% of the time working on our stuff and 50% learning new skills, socializing and enjoying the many options for outdoor activities and nightlife.
You should only join us if you bring along a project you are/going to be working on - it's not a typical vacation, and you might get bored or disappointed if people around you are working at least half-day instead of joining you at the beach!
We will set our goals, what we want to achieve personally during the week. In a mastermind-session we'll talk about our projects and give advice to each other on how to improve job-related issues or our lifestyle. From 3 pm on we might seize the daylight and organize activities together with other guests at the coworking space - but don't feel pressured in having to join us every time we do something together. Some days after having returned to Barcelona we can arrange a follow-up meeting looking back at the great time we had there!
We are also going to organize a Digital Nomads Meetup with locals and other location-independent people who are on the island
If you have any further questions you can contact the organizer on the meetup messenger or when it comes to reservations, payments and what to do in Mallorca also Matias and Toni from bedndesk: [masked]
