Please join us for our April event, National DNA day at Barrel & Brü in Edwardsville! Come celebrate National DNA day with the section, the day is april 25th but we are starting early. You don't have to be a member of the American Chemical Society, but we hope you'll think of joining our group. We'll use this time to network and socialize. All types of chemists: industrial, government, educational, students, and lovers of chemistry are welcome. As always, if you're over 21, the first beer is on us. There will be snacks!

What’s National DNA Day?
National DNA Day, April 25th, commemorates the successful completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003 and the discovery of DNA's double helix by James Watson and Francis Crick in 1953. This annual celebration offers students, teachers and the public many exciting opportunities to learn about the latest advances in genomic research and explore how those advances might impact their lives
