About EILEEN BATSON

Eileen is a publicist and the owner of Batson Group Marketing and PR for over 25 years. She supports her clients in their goals to be well known, well thought of, and well-remembered.

Having started out doing voice-over work, live theatre and managing a clothing boutique in Coconut Grove; later an art gallery in Boca Raton, and then an Interior design studio in Miami, Eileen is following a creative path in marketing and public relations which led her here to Raleigh after escaping the corporate world in Los Angeles.

Upon her arrival here, she became involved in the Triangle music community; served three years on the Board of Directors for the NC Songwriters Co-op; produced and promoted their 10th Annual Songwriter Contest, The NCSC Summer Showcase Series, and the Raleigh House Concert Series.

Her THINK INK Workshops have helped many business owners and creatives improve their writing and marketing skills.

Eileen currently serves on the Board of Directors for Women’s Power Networking (http://www.womenspowernetworking.com/) and is the co-organizer for their Crabtree Chapter; is the producer of the Annual Artists & Authors Showcase, and Martin Brossman and Anora McGaha selected the chapter she wrote on public relations for inclusion in their book Social Media for Business. She is sought after as a speaker, panelist and advisor regarding marketing, public relations, books and eBooks.

Eileen holds degrees in English, Theatre and Journalism from the University of Florida. She and her husband Jon Batson, an award-winning author and lyricist of five Hollywood produced musicals, live in Raleigh, NC.

She enjoys English comedies and mysteries, relaxing with a book and cup of Earl Grey tea or sharing a glass of wine and artisan cheese with friends and family when not being the “Queen of Everything.”
