Shimanami Kaido Cycling Trip! しまなみ街道サイクリングトリップ🚲

The popular local trip from 2022 is back!
This is a three-day journey covering approximately 70 km of the Shimanami Kaido, cycling from Onomichi to Imabari 🚴.
Explore famous landmarks as you ride 35 km a day (about 4–5 hours). Your reward? Delicious local seafood and the stunning scenery of the Shimanami Kaido.
The organizer is a native of Ehime Prefecture, so you’re in good hands for local insights.
This time, we start in Hiroshima Prefecture and finish in Ehime Prefecture.
On the final day, we will either visit kilns and explore Tobe Town, known for its porcelain, or host a local tour in Matsuyama City 🍊🍶

Dates: 3 days from Sunday, September 21, 2025, to September 23 (Silver Week public holiday)
Schedule:
9/21 Morning: Meet at Onomichi (Hiroshima Prefecture); stay overnight on Omishima.
9/22 Stay overnight in Matsuyama (Ehime Prefecture).
9/23 Sightsee in Matsuyama; finish at Matsuyama City Station, Ehime Prefecture.

Planned Itinerary
DAY 1
- Early Morning: Meet at Onomichi Station (Hiroshima Prefecture).
- Rent bicycles and officially start the adventure.
- Lunch: On Kijima Island.
- Evening: Arrive at Omishima; stay at a local guesthouse (dinner features luxurious seafood).
- Visit Oyamazumi Shrine.

DAY 2
- Early Morning: Depart from Omishima.
- Lunch Break.
- Afternoon: Reach Imabari and transfer to Matsuyama by bus.
- Dinner: Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki or an izakaya in Matsuyama.
- Optional stay in Matsuyama (accommodation arranged upon request).

DAY 3
- Morning: Explore Tobe city and Matsuyama city.
- Afternoon: Finish at Matsuyama City Station.

Cost
¥40,000–¥55,000
✳︎ Includes: guide fees, reservation and itinerary planning, bike rental (2 days), accommodation (2 nights), dinner and breakfast (2 days), attraction entrance fees, and group management fees.

How to Get to Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture
Please arrive at Onomichi Station on the evening of September 20 or the early morning of September 21. As September 20–23 is a public holiday period, early booking of flights is recommended. Accessible by JAL, ANA, Shinkansen, and highway buses.

早朝　尾道駅集合 (広島県)
レンタサイクルを借りる、本番スタート
生地島でランチ
大三島着、ローカルな民宿に宿泊 (夕食は豪華な海鮮)
大山祇神社観光

●DAY2
早朝　大三島 出発
昼食休憩
今治着、バスで松山に移動
松山で夕食 (広島風お好み焼きか居酒屋）
任意で松山に宿泊（希望の場合宿は手配します）

●DAY3
松山市と砥部町 観光、松山市駅解散

費用　¥40,000〜¥55,000

広島県尾道市への行き方
✳︎9月20日の夜便か、21日の早朝に尾道駅までお越しください。
9月20日〜23日は連休のため、 できるだけ早く航空券を予約することをお勧めします。JAL、ANA、新幹線、高速バスで、広島県と愛媛県にアクセスできます。

雨天の場合、11月の連休に延期になります。
