About us
C.O.F.F.I.E. Is an acronym meaning "Connecting Friends For In-town Events".
My name is Roderick Smith. I am the owner/organizer of this amazing group, and I love visiting coffeehouses; so much so, that I bought my own shop in March of 2009 and operated it for nearly 2 years. Although my coffee shop is now closed, my passion and love for coffee, conversation, networking, and the arts still drives me. This meetup group is exploding with events which exemplify these passions!
If you're the kind of person who likes to hang out at indie coffeehouses, enjoys great poetry & spoken-word, loves live music performances (as a performer or fan), or you want to meet other interesting, diverse, like-minded people for intelligent conversation over coffee and dessert, then C.O.F.F.I.E. is for you
We have networking meetups, coffee-talks, latte-art contests, open-mics, and stimulating discussions on subjects like: Politics; Socio-economic issues; cultural, racial, and relationship conflicts and solutions, and information about where to go and what to do in Atlanta!
The group features several monthly meetings you don't want to miss. Most notable are "The Gathering" held on 4th Thursdays each month on the patio of Cafe Intermezzo, and the "Do You Lyric Lounge" open-mic event, hosted by the charismatic LadyVee DaPoet on the 2nd Saturday of each month at HodgePodge Coffeehouse & Gallery.
This is your opportunity to connect with the fastest-growing arts and professional networking meetup group in Atlanta. You will not be disappointed..just read some of the Group Reviews!
