The Effect of Design on Cooperative Living

Twin Cities Cohousing Network (soon to be known as CohousingMN), 501(c)(3), is hosting a free online event with Sam Naylor. His chautauqua-style talk will include visuals from his personal journey to over one hundred intentional communities on four continents. Over three years, Mr. Naylor visited cohousing communities, cooperatives and more informal communal living arrangements in Australia, Canada, Denmark, England, Germany, Denmark, England, the Netherlands, Scotland, Switzerland, the United States, and Uruguay. This helped him distill the housing design elements that contribute most to the cooperative spirit and ethos of community living. He also has findings on how design can impact equity.
