What we’re about
Utah Cohousing is a great way to explore the benefits of intentional communities - co-housing, eco-villages and more. Sustainable communities that make life more economical, social, environmental friendly and fun. We believe our housing plays an important role in our quest for happy, healthy and engaged living. We hope to bring together like-minded people to share ideas, foster relationships and build communities.
Our goal is to foster the growth of cohousing communities in Utah. It doesn’t matter if you are interested in cohousing, ecovillages, or co-ops; in multi-generational or elder communities; in urban, rural, small town or mountain living - the initial steps to forming a new community are pretty much the same. We believe that together we can support each other, share in resources, grow and strengthen forming groups, help change policy and zoning regulations and market cooperative/sustainable living in Utah.
Meetings
Utah Cohousing members meet to share ideas and collaborate as much as possible. We welcome new members - please join us to start building a strong foundation here in Utah!

On the heels of this month's National Cohousing Commons, stick around for a virtual open house on cohousing in central Mexico: Rancho La Salud Village, in Aijijic.
Meet the founder and members of this community centered on healthy living, in a small town by Lake Chapala, a little ways south of Guadalajara, in Jalisco province.
Get a tour of this community, adjacent to a farm (EcoVillage-style) but walkable to the heart of a lively town known for its arts and culture.
Hear how folks there decided to look beyond their home countries and buy homes in a community that promotes healthy, sustainability, and personal growth, while maintaining privacy and autonomy.
Come early (9 AM PDT, 10 MDT, 11 CDT, noon EDT) if you want to be part of the monthly Cohousing Commons call with discussions in the wake of National Cohousing Week and the open houses last weekend. And then stick around in the following hour for a virtual open house.
