One of Java biggest stregths is its ecosystem. You can find libraries left and right to help you with your code, so you can focus on what you need to implement. Maybe you are using full blown frameworks like Spring that already provide you with an entire programming model to develop your project. You can also find small and standalone libraries that stood on their own and are a great addition to any project. We are going to look into standalone libraries that every project should use to improve their code and increase the developer productivity.

Roberto Cortez is a passionate Java Developer with more than 10 years of experience. He is involved within the Open Source Community to help other individuals spread the knowledge about Java technologies. He is a regular speaker at conferences like JavaOne, Devoxx, Devnexus, JFokus and others. He leads the Coimbra JUG and founded the JNation Conference in Portugal. When he is not working, he hangs out with friends, plays computer games and spends time with family.
