About us
Love true crime podcasts, documentaries, and unsolved mysteries—and wish you had people to talk about them with over coffee?
If so...this group is for you.
Think “book club” meets “true crime podcast club”: one member chooses a case (inspired by a podcast episode, article, or documentary), lets everyone know in advance (similar to a book group), and then that member leads the discussion.
To keep conversations meaningful, and make sure everyone has a chance to speak, I’m capping the group at 8 members. Once we reach 8, new folks can join a waitlist for open spots. That way the group stays small, comfortable, and focused.
We will meet every other Wednesday from 3:00–4:30 pm, at Panera in Middletown.
What we do:
• Grab coffee and settle in for a friendly conversation.
• Come prepared, having already listened to or read about the case chosen for that meeting. The discussion leader for the day brings a few discussion questions to help guide the conversation.
• Share reactions, favorite theories, and the questions that stick with us.
• Recommend podcasts, shows, and articles to each other.
Tone and expectations:
• Casual and welcoming—no expertise required.
• Respectful of victims, families, and ongoing investigations.
• The goal is to connect with new friends over a shared fascination with true crime and mysteries—and if we one day help to solve something, well, that’s just a bonus.
You don’t have to present a case right away to join. Come along, listen, and see if the vibe fits. Over time, if you’d like to bring a case, you’ll have the chance.
If your ideal afternoon involves coffee, conversation, and a fascinating unsolved story, you’ll probably fit right in.
