We discusses how to manage private keys (generate, add, restore, delete) on local edge devices in the context of decentralized identity ecosystem.
In general, mnemonic seed phrase recovery and (k, n) threshold and secret sharing methods are used to recover the private key when an individual replaces or loses a local device such as a smartphone.
In the session, we will focus on the (k, n)-threshold method and the secret sharing method for recovering the secret key, and discuss how they can be applied to decentralized identity ecosystem.
It is recommended to understand the basic theory of threshold and SSS methods in advance. We are in the process of leaning them too. Please feel free to join us.
