What we’re about
The purpose of this group is to get together to play Chess over the board, and in general have fun and relax. All skill levels are welcome and of course efforts would be made to make fair matches. You are encourage to join Chess.com so your rating can be used to determine matches and allow for virtual games.
Meetups will be in public locations such as restaurants/bars or parks. The venues will be in Collegeville, King of Prussia, Phoenixville, Skippack, or places near there. Location of the meetup may be influenced by who joins.
Men and woman over the age of 21 are welcome to join. At a meetup we will play "pickup" games of chess (in groups of 2 concurrently). When in a public area refreshments such as drinks (non-alcoholic) and snacks brought by group members will be shared. If we meet at a restaurant, members can buy what the establishment has to offer and enjoy it while playing.
There are no member dues or meeting fees and the group has no other affiliations.
The group will meet at least monthly to play at a variety of locations
