A friend kindly invited me to my first park run exactly one year ago, and now I'm hooked so thought that i would pay it forward and invite anyone who wants to give it a go ....

The event has a mixture of people who run, walk, walk-a-bit-run-a-bit, bring the dog, and even bring the kids in pushchairs ! No special equipment is necessary - scruffy trainers will do just fine (but maybe some warm clothes as this is in February).

If we get a group together we can split into runners and walkers - but regardless of the uptake i will make you the promise that my friend made to me .... "no one gets left behind!"

Black Park is one of the prettiest Park Runs in the UK. It is 5km through the woods and regularly attracts over 750 people. There is a big car park (£3.25 for 2 hours), but i would advise getting there no later than 8:45 to ensure you don't have any trouble parking.

The event itself is FREE (parking is paid, see above**)

So, if you've always wondered what all of the hype is about, lets get a group together and give it a go ... !

Quiz Night

Pen and paper quiz, held in the cosy Waterman's arms Pub. You can expect general knowledge questions, specialty rounds plus a picture round.
