Workshop: Kubernetes Implementation Options, Free Trainings, Container Security

Hey Cologne Cloud Lovers,

By our next meetup in July we'll provide an overview about all known Kubernetes implementation options with a free training program through virtual classes and how to get started with Kubernetes on AWS, Azure and GCP or build your own K8s Cluster even on a Raspberry Pi Cluster and deploy simple apps like Wordpress or more complex ones such as OpenStack.

Welcome, introducing NTT Data (Ivan Mioc)

Container Run-Time Security (Michael Krueger, Head of Business Development, EMEA, NeuVector)

An overview of container security from Build to Ship to Run, with a focus on run-time security. As containers move into production, run-time security becomes critical regardless of security precautions taken before run-time. Michael will talk about general container security issues and potential exploits and attacks that apply to containers. He will discuss requirements for securing and monitoring hosts, containers, and networks during run-time. He will show a demo of the types of features to expect in container security using NeuVector as an example.

Kubernetes Free Learning Program and the Certification Path (by Des Drury, Cito Pro)

Des Drury talks about Kubernetes and Kubernauts free learning program and how to get started with Kubernetes and use it in real-world projects (video recording).

Kubernetes Implementation Options and Your Container Orchestration Needs (by Arash Kaffamanesh, Kubernauts.IO)

In this session Arash will provide an overview about 70+ Kubernetes Implementation Options and present a guideline when to choose Kubernetes over Mesos DC/OS or Docker Swarm.
