🎮 Cologne beyond Gamescom – let’s explore!
You came to Cologne for Gamescom and want to see a little more than the exhibition halls? Then come explore the city with me! 🇩🇪❤️
I’m offering a free, relaxed and informal Cologne tour for Gamescom visitors from all over the world. My goal is simple: meet new people, have a good time and help you get a little more out of your stay in Cologne.
We’ll explore Cologne mainly on foot, with public transport (train, tram or bus) whenever it makes sense or gives our feet a well-deserved break. Depending on the route and our mood, we might visit some of Cologne’s most famous sights, discover hidden corners, walk along the Rhine, explore different neighbourhoods and of course get a taste of what makes Cologne… well, Cologne. 😉
This is not a classic guided city tour with two hours of historical facts. Think of it more as exploring the city with a local who enjoys showing people around. There might be some history, some stories, some random Cologne facts — and probably a few moments where we communicate with a mix of English, German, hand gestures, facial expressions and Google Translate. 😂🌍
💶 What does it cost?
The tour itself is completely free.
Please keep around €10–15 available for the day. This is not a tour fee, but simply a recommendation in case we need public transport or decide to grab a drink, coffee, snack or something to eat along the way.
Everyone pays for their own personal expenses. Card payments are absolutely fine — I’ll make sure that the places we visit offer cashless payment whenever possible.
So bring your curiosity, comfortable shoes and your best “let’s see where this goes” attitude. 😄
