Looking at snow depth maps, most of the backcountry is still hurting. Vail Pass has some great depth and great skiing. There is quick and easy access to the goods below Uneva Peak on the East side of I-70 (across the bridge from the rest area/parking lot). The terrain offers mellow lines and gentle slopes in the Hippy Trees and on the Dog Run. We will stay well below trigger points for the upper reaches, where the slope gets steeper.

Vail Pass Parking on I-70, Exit 190. There is a $10 day-use fee per vehicle.
Space is limited, and the lots fill quickly. I recommend arriving at 7a.
We will meet at the Forest Service fee collection station and then cross the bridge together at 7:30a.
