Rise & Grind - Royal Arch, Boulder OSMP

Details
Welcome to Rise & Grind, the CMC Boulder Group’s morning hiking and coffee series. Our objective is to start our day off right with some exercise, good company and a little mindfulness. In addition to the hike itself, we’ll pause on the summit for a moment of silent reflection and set our intentions for the day. Afterward there will be an optional stop for coffee, symbolizing a fresh start and the energy needed to conquer the day.
We hike every Wednesday and Friday morning. For more trip listings, click HERE.
For this morning's Rise & Grind we’ll be hiking a Boulder classic to Royal Arch. The route will ascend approximately 1,400 feet over 3.3 miles round trip. The trip should take approximately two hours, but allow for up to three.
In order to participate you **MUST register for this event on CMC.org**. Details will be emailed to registered participants:
Details and directions will be emailed to registered participants.
Please note, this is a moderate to difficult hike and is not designed to be a beginner trip. The Royal Arch Trail is a steep, rugged trail with grades between 20%-50% and is classified as “Medium/Hard” by Boulder OSMP. Participants should be in good physical condition and comfortable on rocky terrain. You should be comfortable climbing more than 1,000 feet in under one mile at a moderate (2.0 mph or 30 min/mile) pace without significant breaks. This will be a before-work hike for some participants, so it’s important that we maintain our pace and finish promptly so folks can get to work on time. Please know your own abilities and be considerate of the rest of the group when you sign up.
