Welcome to Rise & Grind, the CMC Boulder Group’s morning hiking and coffee series. Our objective is to start our day off right with some exercise, good company and a little mindfulness. In addition to the hike itself, we’ll pause on the summit for a moment of silent reflection and set our intentions for the day. Afterward there will be an optional stop for coffee, symbolizing a fresh start and the energy needed to conquer the day.

This morning's Rise & Grind will hike to South Boulder Peak. The route will ascend approximately 2,880 feet over 8.0 miles round trip.
IMPORTANT: Because of the mileage, the trip will take approximately four hours, which is much longer than our usual Rise & Grind.

Please note, this is a moderate to difficult hike and is not designed to be a beginner trip. Participants should be in good physical condition and comfortable on rocky terrain. You should be comfortable climbing more than 1,000 feet in under one mile at a moderate (2.0 mph or 30 min/mile) pace without significant breaks. This will be a before-work hike for some participants, so it’s important that we maintain our pace and finish promptly so folks can get to work on time. Please know your own abilities and be considerate of the rest of the group when you sign up.
