SORRY FOLKS, WHILE EDITING THIS EVENT, SOMEONE ELSE SCOOPED UP THE PREFERRED CAMPSITE DATES, SO WE HAD TO RESCHEDULE.

After a couple of exploratory rides in this area, it is time to let you all in on this exceptional riding adventure. THIS IS NOT YOUR NORMAL UTAH HOT DRY RIDING there are trees and lakes and streams check out the Google map overview of this area; the Twelve Mile campsite is 10,100-foot elevation. The plan is to DRY CAMP at Twelve Mile Flat campground (39.12316, -111.48811), which is centrally located in the prime riding area. NOTE the Meetup venue description says the campground address is Manti, Utah; this is not in the town of Manti and is best accessed via Mayfield, Utah, by driving up the Twelve Mile road to the campsite. Plan to arrive Tuesday, set up camp ride Wednesday - Saturday, and break camp on Sunday. There are group and individual sites at Twelve Mile that can be reserved we have reserved one group site. If you want a place in the group site, you must notify me to save you a space it's first come, first served. If you cancel, you are responsible for the cost of your space unless you swap with someone else and they notify us that they are going to take your space. Several boondocking sites nearby are accessible for smaller rigs (39.121920, -111.481634), (39.122260, -111.483715), among others in the area. There are several boondocking sites closer to town (39.151371, -111.566747). Some of these boondocking sites closer to town are huge and can be used for all sizes, but these are popular and, in our experience, were kind of crowded and are several miles from the Twelve Mile Site. This is a beautiful and large area to ride and even has its own website Arapeen Trail for more information. For a free Avenza map of the area, go to Arapeen Trail Map and check it out for yourself. There is a mix of 50" - 66" - full-width trails. We have done many rides in the area and have at least three people as guides that are experienced with these trails. There are lakes stocked for fishing if you want to take a down day. These trails are all loops and can be mild or quite wild so bring your skills. As usual, we will do a potluck dinner on Friday. If you are not an actual member, then get it done it's really easy, It’s $15.00 per person per year, or you may start a free 30-day trial.
