Rampart Weekday Ride (Wednesday 6/18)

Plan to be ready to ride at 9am.

This is a Rampart familiarization ride for me, I don't have a route picked out, just going to wing it, maybe get lost. I plan to ride at a casual pace, not too fast, not too slow. I'm 65 and still trying to figure out if I want to keep on riding.

Jackson Creek Rd parking/staging area 39.321463, -105.055970

Pack some lunch/snacks and plenty of water. Please bring you own map or phone app of the Rampart Trails, to get you back if you leave the group early or to cover any other eventualities (:->.

Directions to Parking/Departure Location:

1. Take I-25 toward Castle Rock and take the WOLFENSBERGER EXIT (middle of the 3 Castle Rock Exits)
2. Take WOLFENSBERGER Rd. West for 6.2 miles until it “Tees” into Colorado Route 105 (Perry Park Rd)
3. Turn LEFT on CO-105 and follow it for 1.8 miles and you will see Jackson Creek Rd on your right.
4. Turn RIGHT onto Jackson Creek Road and follow it for 6.4 miles to the Trail Head for #788. (Jackson Creek will start out paved and then change to dirt and get smaller and tighter the farther up you go.)
5. The parking area will be on your right immediately after you complete a tight “S” turn. It is the first pull off after you pass through the swing gates and enter Rampart Range proper.
6. It will take you approximately 30 minutes to get to the parking area from the I-25 exit in Castle Rock
