Climbing at Shelf Road

Let’s go climb at Shelf!

We’ve had several new folks join the group so this would be a great time to come out and meet new people.

Let's climb at The Far Side wall (part of 'The Gallery'). This gets morning sun and afternoon shade. If we end up wanting afternoon sun we can head over to Menses Prow which is a short-ish walk away. The Far Side tends to be one of the less crowded walls at Shelf.

Let’s meet at the Sand Gulch Campground parking lot which is at the trailhead for the Gallery.

The Far Side has a great selection of routes from 5.7 and up.

You should know how to at least top-rope belay and have a harness, helmet, belay device and climbing shoes.

If you want to lead climb please bring your own gear.
