What we’re about
Colorado Springs Cycling Club (CSCC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 to provide a variety of bicycling activities. We have weekly rides, annual rides, member meetings with educational topics and parties, and training. For non-club rides such as Elephant Rock, we use Meetup to let our members know who is planning to attend so they can carpool and possibly ride together.
If you are not yet a member of CSCC, we invite you to join us for one ride. If you have a good time and want to ride with us more, you can visit our website to join the club. Annual dues are $30 for an individual or $50 for a family.

Newcomers are always welcomed for the first ride without paying CSCC membership dues. You will be asked to join if you show up for a second ride. You can join the CSCC at https://bikesprings.org/join-us
This weeks ride starts near Boddington Park on Wood Ave. We will do a neighborhood ride utilizing streets and nearby trails, touring the beautiful houses and gardens. The ride will be between 10 and 20 miles. Rear lights encouraged. We may use the Colorado Safety Stop if conditions warrant it.
The Women’s Ride is a casual (8-12 mph), no-drop ride with catch-up points along the route. There may be a planned rest stop along the route and will regroup as necessary to ensure no rider is left behind. We will have a sweep if the group size dictates.
We will ride 10-20 miles depending on weather and road conditions. We will leave from various locations.
In order to participate in this event you must read the following in its entirety, read all updates posted in the comments thread, and respond promptly to all direct messages from the ride leader.
Please arrive early enough to check your bikes ABC’s (air, brakes, chain) so we can roll out on time. You must bring a tire repair kit and spare tube to change a flat. Also a multi tool should be considered. It is your responsibility to have a working bike, dress appropriately for the weather, remain hydrated and to consume enough calories. Helmets must be worn whenever you are riding the bike.
If you plan to ride, please RSVP to let the ride leader and others know you will be there.
NOTE: With uncertain weather patterns, this ride may become a “show-n-go”. The leader will update the Meetup event as soon as possible. The group that does show agrees where to go together. Be prepared with a sign-sheet. Instructions for where to send it after the ride are at the bottom of the first page. Newcomers are always welcomed for the first ride without paying CSCC membership dues. You will be asked to join if you show up for a second ride. You can join the CSCC at https://bikesprings.org/join-us
Starting Location: Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort
Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50194949This is a no-drop group ride catering to riders who enjoy climbing and are looking to find some gratitude with altitude. It is meant to be a "Zone 2" ride which means a low to moderate pace that allows for a conversational effort, where you can talk while riding. For current (and former) competitive cyclists, this would classify as a pure recovery ride (Zone 1). The route will change periodically and add more elevation as the weeks go by. Distance will be somewhere between 25 miles to 30 miles and elevation will range from approximately 3K to 5K. E-assist bikes welcome. There will be short "regroups" throughout to support different level riders and safer fueling.
In order to participate in this event you must read the following in its entirety, read all updates posted in the comments thread, and respond promptly to all direct messages from the ride leader. You must also examine the route via the link for details on distance, surface and elevation profile.
