Wednesday Morning Ride
Details
Newcomers are always welcomed for the first ride without paying CSC membership dues. You will be asked to join the CSC if you participate on a second CSC ride. You can join the CSC at https://bikesprings.org/join-us
**ROUTE: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54332052**
About 21.5 miles and 1,400 feet of climbing. One big climb on Gold Camp/Bear Creek. We will ride to 26th and then ride up Gold Creek and onto Bear Creek. We will turn right back onto Gold Camp and ride back down the hill. We'll ride over to the Buffalo Lodge, then out to 31st, along the path by GOG, over to Centennial and meander around. Stops are planned at Buffalo Lodge and Loaf and Jug. There may be a porto-potty around mile 7.5 .
The Wednesday Morning Ride is an intermediate (12-14 mph), no-drop ride with catch-up points along the route. There may be a planned rest stop along the route, but we will have a “sweep” and will regroup as necessary to ensure no rider is left behind. The ride leader will publish a Ride with GPS link to the route the weekend before the ride with a start location. You can download a free version of the app from your phones app store.
We will ride 18-30 miles depending on weather and road conditions. Unless noted, we will leave from Legacy Plaza off the I-25 and Centennial exit and ride in different directions each week.
In order to participate in this event you must read the following in its entirety, read all updates posted in the comments thread, and respond promptly to all direct messages from the ride leader.
Please arrive early enough to check your bikes ABC’s (air, brakes, chain) so we can roll out on time. Helmets must be worn whenever you are riding the bike.
If you plan to ride, please RSVP to let the ride leader and others know you will be there.
NOTE: With uncertain weather patterns, this ride may become a “show-n-go”. The leader will update the Meetup event as soon as possible. The group that does show agrees where to go together. Be prepared with a sign-sheet. Instructions for where to send it after the ride are at the bottom of the first page.
