About us
This group is for adults ages 35–55 in Colorado Springs who want to stay active, explore new places, and build real connections through a mix of outdoor adventures and social activities.
All experience levels are welcome. I started this group to meet other people and to have a go-to crew for everything from hikes and exploring to casual social outings. The goal is simple: get out, try new things, and enjoy good company along the way.
I’m fairly new to the area and would love to find one or two people who are interested in helping co-organize the group. Activity ideas are always encouraged—whether it’s hiking, foraging, pub trivia a new restaurant or something completely new. Looking forward to getting outside and exploring Colorado Springs together.

Beginner Guided Snowshoeing

#### Join a Pikes Peak Ranger for an easy outdoor adventure with a focus on how people and animals get around in the winter - Imagine being an early explorer trying to cross the mountains in snow!
#### This program will be a walk using snowshoes and is meant for beginners. We will learn the basics of snowshoeing and winter safety. We will meet at the Pikes Peak Gateway where each participant will pick up snowshoes and poles before driving partway up the mountain (this will also be the best opportunity to use the restrooms).
#### Weather permitting, our journey will start at the former ski area at mile 11.5 on the Pikes Peak Highway. The snowshoe hike itself will take about 90 minutes round trip with many stops for rest and learning. The pace will be easy although the terrain can be steep. Upon returning to the vehicles, participants will return the snowshoes to their Ranger guide and will be free to visit the rest of the Pikes Peak Highway.
#### Participants should be prepared for the whole program, from meeting at the Gateway to finishing the hike back at the cars, to take three hours.
#### Arrive at the Pikes Peak gateway by 9:45 A.M. for all Snowshoe Hikes.
!?? Dress for winter conditions: layers, gloves, hat, sunglasses, and a backpack for water & snacks
If inclement weather occurs on your scheduled date, please call 719-385-7325 and select opt
#### Fees:
- Adults (ages 16 and over) $20
- Includes equipment rental and full day admission
- Passes are not valid due to special event
#### All mountain access, including this special program, is weather permitting.
