Easter Eggs on Halloween?

So... a "cultural" Easter egg in current movies and video games refers to allusions to the artist's other works. However, allusions of this type have been around forever. An interesting use of an "Easter egg" can be found in Shakespeare's "Two Gentlemen of Verona" when the Duke of Milan refers to a conversation with Friar Lawrence, who happens to be the dude who married Romeo and Juliet. Who knew?
