Subject: Allenspark Disperse Camping MVUMs
Hello Don,
We spoke on the phone about dispersed camping. I have attached the PDF and copied the link to the Motor Vehicle Use Map for the north half of the Boulder Ranger District, which includes roads near Allenspark: https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd522665.pdf . Areas that allow dispersed camping right off the road will have small dots alongside the road which shows where you are legally allowed to disperse camp (though it might or might not be a good spot). Near Allenspark, the only roads that allow dispersed camping are FS roads 330.1 (road should open after May 15th) and FS Road 116.1 and 116.2 . This map will also show which forest road is close seasonally as well as share their date of operations. Many of the seasonal roads (highlighted in gray) will open after May 15th. I believe the road they are calling Ski road is 107 on the map, you can see how further down that road there are plenty of options for dispersed camping. The road is currently open, however we do not have conditions for that road, so please be prepared to turn around or have a backup option just in case.

Hope that helps, have a great day!|
