Welcome to the Colorado Empowering Women Adventure Meetup group—we’re so glad you’ve found your way here. In our first week, more than 30 women have joined our Meetup.

Tonight, we will host a Zoom meeting to get to know each other and discuss a shared vision for our group!

Please show up, pressure-free, with open curiosity. And don't worry about hair and makeup. This Zoom event is happening after a long day of work, but just in time to coordinate a weekend nature walk.

This community is hosted by Melissa Lynn Reed, founder of Wild Heart Revival and visionary at Women Rising Wild. Melissa is an ecologist, adventure guide, science educator, rewilding coach, and advocate for women’s empowerment. Her work is rooted in the belief that healing, growth, and transformation happen most deeply when women are supported in both nature and community.
Her mission and the mission of this meetup group is to create a space of adventure where women can come together to play, connect, explore, restore, and rise—individually and collectively. We are here to support one another in cultivating courage through life’s challenging terrain, trust in our inner knowing, and a deeper connection to both the natural world and our own wild nature.
We will host a variety of empowering and adventure-based experiences, including:

  • Hikes, therapeutic outdoor immersions, and other activities like summer SUP board playdates and peach picking
  • Ecostewarship projects in collaboration with regional open space agencies or nonprofits
  • Women’s circles focused on connection, storytelling, and shared wisdom
  • Weekend workshops and retreats in Colorado and beyond

Many of our events, like our upcoming potluck brunch and hike, are free, while others do have a registration fee.

Our focus is on nurturing the feminine spirit, honoring lived experience, and creating meaningful, embodied change within ourselves and in our communities.

Whether you’re here to connect with like-minded women, explore the outdoors, deepen your self-trust, or embark on a transformative journey—you belong here.
