JavaScript Meetup - The Mother of All Demos

This year marks the 50th anniversary of a spectacularly groundbreaking computer demonstration, known retroactively as "The Mother of All Demos". After this 90-minute demonstration at a 1968 computer conference in San Fransisco, Douglas Engelbart, previously considered something of a crackpot was described as a visionary, "dealing lightning with both hands".

This live presentation essentially demonstrated almost all the fundamental elements of modern personal computing: the first time they had been demonstrated together in a single system.
