Night Catches Us

Details

1947 the 2nd African American woman to ever receive a patent, Miss Miriam E. Benjamin, passes on.

That same year, Chuck Yeager became the first american to break the sound barrier in level flight.

Besides the founding of the CIA, the invention of the transistor, and the Roswell UFO incident in new Mexico, it was also the first air date of KCRW. The station begans as a project to instruct service men in the cutting edge technology of FM radio.

RSVP and join us for KCRWs summer nights Friday:

https://events.kcrw.com/events/kcrw-summer-nights-at-caam-with-djs-novena-carmel-francesca-harding/

We'll wait outside for about 30 min, then head in. This is a loosely hosted meetup but find me, and we'll introduce you to us. A good joke might even get you a drink.

I'll be wearing a black shirt with the meetup logo.
