Ooms - Sunset at Columbia Land Conservancy - 3 miles

Details
On Wednesday, June 11th, at 7pm, let's enjoy an evening walk at Ooms. Starting at the Parking Lot, proceeding to the pond and boardwalk area, then walking the marshes, grasslands, up to the gazebo, we'll see many rich grasses, marsh reeds, and honeysuckles. After enjoying the panoramic views, we can walk the fields' perimeter and circle the pond, heading back to the parking lot where we started. When there's good weather, there's a great sunset. We have time to appreciate it here. There are aromatic marshes and a pond's mountain views on this walk. The pond is home to eagles, blue herons, fishes, and much fauna.
Sunset on June 11th is at 8:31pm. This is the perfect setting to enjoy it.
More information:
Ooms includes 3 miles of trails on 180 acres of land and offers visitors year-round opportunities to enjoy the grasslands around Sutherland Pond.
This pastoral landscape captures the essence of Columbia County. Sutherland Pond takes its name from a family that lived across the property on Rock City Road for many decades beginning in the 1880s.
Most of the trails at Ooms are wide, mowed, grass paths. Trails may be muddy after rain. Seating is available at a picnic table, gazebo, and on walkway benches.
