First Day Hike at Bennett Spring State Park

I will be attending the First Day Hike at Bennett Spring State Park on Thursday January 1st. A park ranger will lead the hike on the Savanna Ridge Trail. The trail is a 2.5 mile loop over moderate terrain that I have never hiked before. If you would like to join me, you must register at this website. There is no cost to register.
Missouri State Parks - Session Details
Make sure you wear hiking boots and dress for cold weather. We can meet in the parking lot at Perry Philips Park off of E Gans Rd for car-pooling purposes. It is about a 2 hour drive to Benett Spring from Columbia and the hike starts at 1 p.m. so be at Perry Phillips at 10:30 a.m. to give us plenty of time to get to the trailhead at Bennett Spring State Park.
