American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) - Ohio Valley Zoom Event

Greetings Members,

We were contacted by the Ohio Valley chapter of ASMP, a great advocacy organization for professional and aspiring photographers.

They wanted to let our Columbus Creative Photography group know that next week (September 27 at 7pm) they are presenting a free zoom panel to discuss the new ordinance designed to help ensure freelancers get paid in a timely fashion, rolled out by Columbus City Council this year.

They are trying to get the word out to as many freelancers and freelance organizations as possible.

While many of our members are more on the personal pursuit side of photography vs the business side, but we also have folks who are freelancing as a photographers, so they asked us to share the info about their event.

One of their panelists, Kirsten Estose, actually drafted the legislation, so they are very excited to have her be able to talk about it.
