LITTLE ART THEATRE: The Little Art Theatre is located at 247 Xenia Ave in Yellow Springs, OH and is the hippest little theater in the hippest little city in Ohio! The Little Art Theatre has been among the most recognizable and beloved landmarks in Yellow Springs, Ohio since it was founded in 1929. They present “an eclectic mix of films that includes first-run, independent, international, documentaries, cinema classics and special film events!” Fittingly, the Little Art Theatre’s motto is, “Creating community through the magic of film” which is exactly what our fun little community of movie watching friends is all about! You can read me about the theater here: https://www.littleart.com/
YELLOW SPRINGS: If you’ve been to Yellow Springs, you already know that its unique blend of rural charm, artistic vibrancy and strong sense of community make it quite possibly the coolest city in Ohio! We’ll be visiting their absolutely charming, fun, and walkable downtown area which features natural beauty, eclectic shops, fun restaurants and a welcoming atmosphere. Regular visitors here are also attracted to some of the best hiking trails in the state at nearby John Bryan State Park, great food and ice cream at Young’s Jersey Dairy and more!
PEACHES GRILL: Immediately following the film, join us at PEACHES GRILL for a bite after the show! This local landmark is the first restaurant you’ll see (on your right) as you enter the city! Their menu is crafted to offer something for everyone, from classic favorites to innovative twists, an array of apps, burgers, soups and salads, sandwiches and wraps, vegetarian/vegan options and more! We’ll head to the restaurant immediately following the movie where they’ll have a section reserved for the group!
DIRECTIONS AND PARKING: Yellow Springs is located West of Columbus. Take I-70 West toward Dayton, then South on US-68. Parking is available in the lot to the right just as you enter the city. The lot is conveniently located near Peaches Grill, so you’ll be close by at the end of the day! The lot is a few blocks from the theater. Recommend arriving early so you can explore the many fun and eclectic shops along the way!
PLAN: Purchase your ticket for the 2:00pm showing and we’ll meet inside the theater lobby between 1:30 and 1:45pm. Advance tickets on sale now and purchase via the Little Art Theater website is advised! Tix just $7. General admission, so seat numbers not assigned. Recommend purchasing yours as soon as possible to avoid the sellout! Once you have yours let me know in the Comments section of this event! You can purchase yours here: https://6827.formovietickets.com/
Should be another fun Summer Road Trip!
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
P.S. RECOMMENDED BONUS EXCURSION ON THE DRIVE HOME: Young’s Jersey Dairy is not part of the “official” event but a recommended stop while you’re in the area! With the mini golf, batting cages, restaurant, tours and more, this could easily be an all day trip itself! But, I like to stop by for some of the best ice cream around to help fuel me for the drive home ha ha! If you do stop by, don’t let the parking lot or crowds scare you away! It’s ALWAYS busy but the lines go fast and it really is pretty tasty stuff and a bit of a local legend itself! And while not an “official” part of the event, you’ll likely spot some fellow CMG’ers while you’re there!
