Are We Strong Enough to Be Hercules?
Details
April's topic will be conducted by Bro. Danielle Slack as she asks the question: "Are We Strong Enough to Be Hercules?"
Synopsis:
This month, we will explore the myth of Hercules. We will go beyond the tale of the legendary hero and explore how this story reflects our own struggles and growth. Despite his superhuman strength, which defined him as a demi-god, his greatest challenges were very human: grief, guilt, rage, and, ultimately, the search for redemption. Through the story of Herculas' Twelve Labors, we will can learn what Freemasonry continually strives to instill in its Initiates: how to be strong both morally and spiritually. This month's MPS will look into the deep and profound question: What does it take to walk the path of a hero?
Mission Statement:
The Masonic Philosophical Society embraces the concept of learning, not for school, but for life, and believes that all men, who seek it, deserve access to continued education. We further embrace the concept of a community environment where ideas can be shared and debated in an open forum. From the seven liberal arts to the arcane, we seek to gain and share the knowledge that is the legacy of mankind.
