Does Every Action Have Karmic Consequences?
Details
May's study is conducted by Bro. Karen Phelps as she asks the question,
"Does Every Action Have Karmic Consequences?"
Synopsis:
Karma is action. Our thinking, speaking, and doing creates either positive or negative karma according to the Universal Law of Cause and Effect. In the book The Kybalion, “Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause. Chance is but a name for Law not recognized. Nothing escapes the Law.”
Science is possible only on the physical plane because its laws can’t be violated or changed. You can plant beets and expect to harvest tomatoes. That which is true of the physical realm of law is also true of the moral and mental worlds. Every thought, word, and deed in our lives is a seed that we plant in the world. In this exploration, we will discuss how every cause has an effect, but not every effect has the same consequence, nor does it always ripen immediately. Based on writings by the Freemason and Theosophist, Annie Besant, we will explore if there is a way to neutralize the cycle of karma through knowledge and renunciation from desire of the fruits of our actions.

We further embrace the concept of a community environment where ideas can be shared and debated in an open forum. From the seven liberal arts to the arcane, we seek to gain and share the knowledge that is the legacy of mankind.
