June's study is conducted by Bro. Patrick Alessandra as he discusses the question: "Should Religion and Politics ever be Mixed?"

Synopsis:
Politics is the art of distributing limited resources, and religion is often the source of our most profound values. It seems natural that these two should be combined if we are to make the world a better place. Yet many great thinkers have cautioned against any cross-pollination between them. The U.S. Constitution famously forbids the government from respecting any one religion over another, and many countries, such as France, have gone a step further: outright banning public displays of religion. Join us as we explore the possibilities and perils of mixing these two great civilizational forces, and how Freemasonry attempts to navigate this complex minefield.

Mission Statement:
The Masonic Philosophical Society embraces the concept of learning, not for school, but for life, and believes that all men, who seek it, deserve access to continued education. We further embrace the concept of a community environment where ideas can be shared and debated in an open forum. From the seven liberal arts to the arcane, we seek to gain and share the knowledge that is the legacy of mankind.
