Simple discussion of participatory economics. No prerequisites, experience, or foreknowledge required.

Possible topics include:

1. What is parecon?
2. Why does it matter? / Why should you care?
3. How does it relate to current events?
4. What connections are there between parecon and sexism, racism, classism, authoritarianism, international relations, U.S. foreign policy, war, health care, education, jobs and the economy, etc.?
5. What are the prospects for social change in the United States? How could change be won in the U.S. anyway?
6. Why do living standards in the United States continually get worse no matter who is elected or what party is in power?
7. What are the similarities and, more importantly, the differences between parecon, capitalism, and all forms of socialism? And why does it matter?
