Women in Science

Details

Yeah, we all know Marie Curie, but what about those other famous women in science who don't get the credit they deserve?? Such as,
Rosalyn Franklin whose work was vital to the structure of DNA? or-
Lise Meitner, the mother of nuclear chain reactions? or -
Ada Lovelace, the first to suggest programmable computers? or-
Hedy Lamarr (that HEDY LAMARR??, yes her), the movie star who patented an unjammable method of weapons communication?
I'm sure there are myriads more and hope you'll come and mention a few so we'll all feel humbled!
... and let's talk a little about the status of women in science today: Anyone want to share their own experience?
