COLUMBUS HUMANE'S Defend Your Friend 5K Run/Walk at Prairie Oaks Metro Park!

We would love to get a group together to meet and run/walk together, or just meet and then congregate at the end of the race. Please post comments/questions to Erick and we will have more info on where to meet as we approach the date.

Join us for the 19th Annual Defend Your Friend 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run! This is a fun and casual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run that you can run/walk with your children and dogs. All proceeds from the race benefit Columbus Humane animal cruelty investigations and impact thousands of pets annually.

This is a DOG & FAMILY FRIENDLY 5K RUN/WALK & 1 MILE!
Day-of registration is available starting at 7:00 AM. The first race heat will start at 9AM. The race will start and finish at the Darby Bend Lakes entrance at Prairie Oaks Metro Park. After the race, plan to hang out in the Fan Fest area to meet local businesses and learn more about animal cruelty investigations from Columbus Humane.

A Night of Laughs for a Serious Cause
Kick off race week with an evening of comedy featuring Clay Foley—a nationally touring comedian, former cruelty investigator, and lifelong animal advocate. Clay brings humor and heart to the stage, using his platform to raise critical funds for animal charities just like ours.
