Summer in Japan

In the evening of the first day of the Bon Festival (July 13 or August 13,)
a small fire is lit at the gate of each house. This is how we Japanese
welcome back departed souls.
Summer is the last season we would recommend overseas visitors to come to Japan; nevertheless, even in the semitropical heat and humidity, Japanese people have tried to find some coolness.
We’d be happy if we could share such “coolness” of summer in Japan with the online guests.
