# 💃 Improv workshop: Surprise Yourself!🥳

📣 Come one, come all to our latest Comediasians improv workshop! In this 2-hour session of ImprovisAsian Time, our focus is on SURPRISING YOURSELF!

Curious about improv but nervous about not knowing what's coming next? Worried about the pressure of coming up with something "funny"? Or are you an experienced improviser who finds yourself planning on the sidelines, and falling back into the same characters and moves again and again?

This workshop will include fun exercises and games to rediscover the joy of trying something new, the release of letting go and experimenting, and the delight of surprising ourselves.

We will build up the confidence to play around and feel more comfortable with being in the moment, and embrace the fun of the unknown! We'll work towards short scenes to try these ideas out for anyone who's keen.

This workshop is FOR:

• People curious about an improv taster who've never tried it before
• Experienced improvisers who want to be challenged to get out of their comfort zone and try new things on stage
• Asians and non-Asians alike. Everybody get in here!

This workshop is NOT for:

• Anyone who hates having a good time
• Meanies and baddies (keep that for your character work, not for real life!)

Maximum group size: 16

Led by James Taverner, longtime member and former Artistic Director of Comediasians, also regularly performing with the The Pretend Company, Instant Noodling, and AdLibretto.
