Make it funny!

After we say our hellos and order our drinks, we'll get down to business!

Bring what you're working on - standup comedy, a story, maybe an anecdote you think could be honed and told on stage.

Everyone will get a chance to read/perform their material.

All participants will chime in with their thoughts and I will offer my own ideas.

By the end of today, you'll certainly have a better idea of how to make your material funnier.

What also often happens is that I'll guide you to a new perspective on how to deliver your material and also to adjacent issues you hadn't thought about talking about. This material you thought was peripheral actually might very well be stronger than what you originally wanted to talk about.

Comedy writing is a process of discovery of what the joke is and, even deeper, who you are.

My classes have been called "story therapy" ...but fun therapy!
